6 Days Chimpanzee and Gorilla trekking Safari

Our 6 Days Chimpanzee and Gorilla trekking safari will lead you to Uganda’s lush green forests of the western Uganda to the Bwindi impenetrable national park the forest is a thick green cover it has developed over time and one of the few places to see mountain gorillas in the world, it amazingly hosts half of the remaining population of the gorilla species- gorilla beringei, they live and roam the forest freely without being captivated. The Kibale forest national park is notable for 13 primate kinds, the most popular being the chimpanzee, it has been scientifically proven to share up to 98% of the human DNA, they are closest to mankind, on these 6 days we will have more of the forest.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our company representative who will meet greet and transfer you to accommodation in Entebbe that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight, take your time to relax as we wait for our following days adventures

Day 2: Transfer from Entebbe to Kibale forest national park

After breakfast, our company representative will transfer you to Kibale forest national park for approximately +/-6 hours’ drive passing through the angelic winding hills, banana and tea plantations of the western Uganda, we will be in time for lunch, enjoy the surrounding air with birds singing swiftly by the lodge area, the rest of the evening at leisure. The forest gives a wonderful feel while here dinner and staying overnight at the lodge that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp walk

Following an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters  Kanyanchu for  a briefing from the Uganda wildlife game rangers, they will state the do’s and Don’ts while with the primates and general etiquettes of the forest, in groups of 6 you will be allocated a chimpanzee family to track, it takes 2-3 hours doing the activity and an hour is allowed while with the primates, returning to meet your guide who will transfer you to the lodge for lunch and later an afternoon visit to the Bigodi Swamp, expect to see more primates like the black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, olive baboons to mention a few, returning to the lodge that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight at

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park via Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park

On this day we will wake up to a morning breakfast after which we transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park passing through the south of Queen Elizabeth national park enroute we will do a mini game drive in search of tree climbing lions expect to see other animal species like elephants, vervet monkeys, olive baboons to mention a few it takes +/-6 hours’ drive to arrive at the misty forest of Bwindi straddling along the country’s borders and far west, enjoy a late evening meal at the lodge that has been booked for your dinner and staying overnight at

Day 5: Gorilla trekking experience

Gorilla trekking experience is one of the most authentic things to do while in Uganda it is a once in a life time encounter giving you an up-close to the mountain gorillas, a briefing will be done by the Uganda wildlife authority team and off to the forest you will be guided to trek gorillas, in groups of 8 you will be allocated to a family for the day, it takes 2 or more hours  depending on how far the gorilla families have moved  once you find the gorillas, you will be allowed an hour while with them there is a chance to see other animals like mountain duikers, forest elephants, black and white colobus monkeys among other species including birds, we will then return to the lodge for dinner and staying overnight at your preferred lodge

Day 6: Departure

Following an early morning breakfast, we will be transferred back to Entebbe for your outbound flight as you say goodbye to the country that has been home for some good days.
