5 Days Mgahinga, Golden Monkey, Volcano Climbing and Bwindi Gorilla Safari
The 5 days safari explores Uganda’s gorilla parks-Mgahinga and Bwindi. Start from Entebbe or Kampala with your guide to the southwest, hike one of the 3 Volcanoes that make Mgahinga Gorilla N.Park, Track golden monkeys, relax at Lake Mutanda and track gorillas at Bwindi.
Day 1-Drive to Kisoro
Start your 5 days after your arrival or from your hotel. Meet the guide and be briefed about the journey and start your day drive to Kisoro. It is an amazing drive through different districts and crossing the equator. Lunch will be had along the way and arrive at lodge in the evening.

Day 2- Volcano Climbing
Volcanic climbing in Mgahinga National Park is an exciting endeavor most adventure-seeking travelers to Uganda indulge in when in the South. The activity unveils the breathtaking views of the entire magnificent Virunga conservation area. The Virunga massif is comprised of eight stunning volcanoes that are covered with large vegetation which tourists enjoy marveling at. Today you will choose from the 3 (Gahinga, Muhabura and Sabyinyo). Have a day hike and later return and have a night at the lodge.

Day 3-Golden monkey tracking and to Mutanda
A morning to search for the golden monkeys in the bamboo zone of the Mgahinga Volcanoes. These primates are vulnerable and endemic to the Virunga Ranges and about 4000 of them remain. You will receive briefing from the base of the park and rangers will lead you into the park on the search. After you return drive to Lake Mutanda. The lake has great views and great to relax after the first two days. Relax here as you await gorilla tracking.

Day 4-Gorilla Tracking-Rushaga
It’s a gorilla tracking day. Have breakfast and head to the sector offices for gorilla tracking. The trek can be 2-8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family that day and it starts after a briefing by the park ranger. Once you find it, you’ll be allowed an hour to stay, watch, photograph and learn about the gorillas before you return. After get your certificates, refresh at the lodge and relax as you await the drive back to Entebbe.

Day 5-Back to Kampala/Entebbe
Today is the last of the 5 days and you will have an early rise and hit the road by 7am for the drive from Kisoro to Entebbe or Kampala arriving in the early afternoon or evening.
